Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So today signed an innovation co-operation deal with Swedish province Skane.
He signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Co-operation in the Fields of Innovation Policies & Innovative Solutions with the President of the Skane Regional Council Annika Annerby Jansson, and Kristianstad University Vice-Chancellor Prof Sanimir Resic, who is representing the Larosaten Syd - Universities in southern Sweden.
The deal, which comes into immediate effect, covers six areas of co-operation - smart sustainable cities, personal health, smart materials, life science, food sciences, and design.
Impressed by Skane's creative design and groundbreaking science and technological innovations, Mr So said he welcomes closer co-operation between Hong Kong and the province in innovation policies and solutions.
