Financial Secretary John Tsang started his visit to Singapore today to strengthen economic and trade ties between the two cities.
Mr Tsang held a breakfast meeting with the Association of Banks in Singapore, met Minister for Trade & Industry Lim Hng Kiang, and attended an Economic Development Board and International Enterprise Singapore briefing.
He then met Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Duan Jielong before holding a luncheon with representatives of key chambers.
Mr Tsang later met Singapore Monetary Authority Managing Director Ravi Menon, attended a gathering with members of the Hong Kong community, and officiated at the launch of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Internship for University Students of Hong Kong Scheme.
He also had a dinner with Singaporean innovation and technology entrepreneurs.
Mr Tsang will attend the 7th ASEAN & Asia Forum opening and meet more Singaporean officials tomorrow before returning to Hong Kong.
