The Monetary Authority has issued an alert on a fraudulent website advertised in an email message which purports to be sent from Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong).
It asks customers to connect to a fraudulent website via an embedded hyperlink and provide their personal information.
The bank has clarified it has not sent the emails and that it has no connection to the website.
Anyone who has provided personal information to the website or conducted any financial transactions through it should contact the bank on 2886 8868 and Police on 2860 5012.
