The volume of total goods exports increased 4.1% year-on-year in May, the Census & Statistics Department says.
The volume of goods re-exports grew 4%, while that of domestic exports increased 14.2%. Concurrently, the volume of goods imports grew 3%.
Comparing the first five months of 2014 with the same period last year, the volume of goods re-exports increased 0.2%, while that of domestic exports increased 7.7%.
Taken together, the volume of total goods exports rose 0.3%. The volume of goods imports grew 1.6%.
