Mainland visitor discussion urged

Chief Executive CY Leung has urged the public to further discuss the Mainland visitor issue after considering the latest retail sales statistics.
 
Briefing reporters before attending an Executive Council meeting today, Mr Leung said people’s views expressed last week on the issue had been useful for the Hong Kong and Central Governments.
 
He said decreases were recorded in retail sales figures announced in the past two months, adding the latest numbers will be released later today.
 
He urged people to discuss the matter again after the new statistics are released.
