CE tours Swedish innovation sites

May 14, 2014

On day two of his visit to Stockholm, Chief Executive CY Leung visited two landmarks renowned for promoting innovative technology developments.

On a tour of Kista Science City, where companies, researchers and students collaborate –  particularly in developing  information and communications technology – Mr Leung signed the city’s memorial wall.

At the Stockholm Royal Seaport, an arena for innovation, learning and collaboration on sustainable urban development which aims to be fossil-fuel-free by 2030, he learned how it is adapting to meet climate-change challenges.

Stockholm Mayor Sten Nordin met with Mr Leung and took him on a tour of Stockholm City Hall.

Mr Leung also called on Chinese Ambassador Chen Yuming, met with Sveriges Riksbank (Sweden's Central Bank) Governor Stefan Ingves, and attended a Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences roundtable dinner.
