Chief Executive CY Leung says he understands Hong Kong people living abroad are concerned about the city and its Government, and can contribute to the city’s economic and social development from afar.
Speaking to a group of Hong Kong expatriates at a luncheon in Shanghai today, Mr Leung said the Government will strive to support their endeavours abroad.
He urged them to exchange views with visiting lawmakers about developments in Shanghai, adding he believed their insights would be beneficial to the Government’s work.
