Chief Executive CY Leung said he is pleased with the International Monetary Fund’s positive assessment of the Government's economic and financial policies, including its property measures.
Speaking to the media at the airport before leaving for Boao today, Mr Leung said the Government will continue to increase the housing supply, especially public housing, to ease the long-standing housing problem.
He said demand-adjustment measures have paid off in the past year, but in the long run, the need to increase supply will require community support, as change in land use is often involved.
