The Monetary Authority today issued an alert on emails purporting to have been issued by it from the email account
invoice@hkma.gov.hk.
The authority has clarified that it has no connection with the fraudulent emails.
The case has been reported to Police.
Anyone who has received the email should call Police on 2860 5012.
