78 pollution convictions in Aug

The convictions were for air, water and noise pollution, dumping at sea, violation of the Product Eco-responsibility Ordinance and the Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance, and illegal waste disposal.
The heaviest penalties handed down in the month were $100,000 fines against two construction companies for unlawful dumping in Hong Kong waters.
