Secretary for the Environment KS Wong co-chaired the fifth meeting of the Hong Kong-Guangdong Joint Liaison Group on Combating Climate Change in Guangzhou today.
Co-hosted with Guangdong Development & Reform Commission Deputy Director Wu Daowen, the meeting reviewed the collaboration between the two sides in 2015-16 and agreed on a work plan for 2016-17.
The plan mainly includes co-operation on developing techniques for short-term climate forecasting, further exchanges on certification of low-carbon products, and exchanges on near-zero carbon emissions demonstration.
