Endangered species:  Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department officers release three juvenile green turtles into the wild.

The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department has released three juvenile green turtles, an endangered species, into the wild.

They were found on Pak Lap and Silverstrand beaches in Sai Kung, and a refuse collection depot on Tin Hau Temple Street in North Point between January 2014 and last month.

They were then put in the care of Ocean Park.

The department tagged each turtle with a microchip before releasing them today, and attached satellite transmitters to their backs to collect data for conservation purposes.

People should call the department on 1823 if they find any turtles.
