The Environmental Protection Department recorded 76 convictions for pollution offences in June.

Ten were for air pollution, three for noise, three for water pollution and 60 for waste disposal.

The heaviest penalty handed down in the month was a suspended jail sentence against a person who dumped waste illegally.
