The Environmental Protection Department has invited all primary and secondary schools to sign up a programme to recycle used computers and other waste electrical equipment.
Interested schools may join the programme by completing the reply slip in the invitations and returning it by September 30, the department said.
The department will help schools organise promotional activities for the scheme and arrange collection of the equipment during October and November.
The items will be distributed to WEEE Go Green organised by St James' Settlement and the recycling programme managed by the Hong Kong WEEE Recycling Association for proper treatment.
This is the third round of Schools Recycle WEEE, a total of 172 schools took part and recovered more than 7,700 pieces of used equipment last year.
