The Leisure & Cultural Services Department will increase the cleaning of three beaches prone to deposits of marine refuse.
The move is for Hoi Mei Wan Beach, Pui O Beach and Hung Shing Yeh Beach, as part of the Keep Clean 2015@Hong Kong: Our Home Campaign.
About 100 additional cleaning operations will be conducted at the three beaches until October.
Clean-ups will also be enhanced at the department’s popular outdoor leisure venues for moon watching during the Mid-Autumn Festival next month, such as parks and barbecue sites, with about 1,000 cleaning staff on duty.
