Secretary for the Environment KS Wong has wrapped up his visit to France, which focused on climate change and promoting sustainable development.
On July 6, he met the Head of Vivapolis and Director of the French Agency for Energy Michele Pappalardo, and discussed issues on sustainable development and energy.
He also met the French Government's assistant special representative in charge of negotiations for the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, Philippe Lacoste, and the French President's policy advisor for international environmental and climate change negotiations, Marie-Hélène Aubert.
He also visited Blue Solutions, a company specialising in energy management and production of rechargeable batteries for electric vehicles.
Mr Wong visited the Exposition Innov' Climat 2015, had lunch with Paris Deputy Mayor Patrick Klugman, and dinner with the French Senate's Sustainable Development Committee President Harvé Maurey.
He also spoke at the the RIVE 2015 International Meeting on Green Cars yesterday, outlining Hong Kong’s efforts in green mobility and sustainability.
Mr Wong departs for Milan, Italy today.
