Green living:  Mr Wong marks World Environment Day 2015 by urging the community to let clean recycling become a daily habit.

Secretary for the Environment KS Wong today officiated at an Environmental Campaign Committee event to mark World Environment Day 2015 in Plaza Hollywood, Diamond Hill, to promote clean recycling.

Mr Wong said the Government would boost waste reduction efforts by implementing a comprehensive system of waste reduction, recycling and treatment.

He encouraged people to let clean recycling become a daily habit by remembering three key points: keep recyclables clean, keep composite materials out of recycling bins, and keep leftovers and used tissue paper away from three-colour recycling bins.

A thematic roving exhibition featuring information panels and game booths promoting proper clean recycling practices was launched today and will run until August 2 at various venues.
