Secretary for the Civil Service Paul Tang visited the Environmental Protection Department today to learn more about its work.
Mr Tang met with Permanent Secretary for the Environment/Director of Environmental Protection Anissa Wong and heard that her department is committed to increasing public awareness on environmental protection, energy, conservation and sustainable development.
He also visited the Sludge Treatment Facility at Nim Wan, Tuen Mun, which converts thermal energy generated from sludge incineration to electricity by the power generation plant for internal consumption.
He encouraged the department's staff to continue their high quality, efficient and professional services.
