Prof Paul Lam has been reappointed as Chairman of the Advisory Council on the Environment for two years from January 1.
Seven new members have been appointed. They are Cary Chan, Michael Lau, Prof Albert Lee, Prof Irene Lo, Ma Lee-tak, Conrad Wong and Stanley Wong.
Secretary for the Environment KS Wong welcomed the reappointment of Prof Lam as Chairman and the appointment of the 21 members to the council, adding he looks forward to the contributions and support of all members to the development of environmental protection and conservation policies.
He also thanked outgoing members Gary Ades, Dorothy Chan, Oscar Chow, Prof Li Xiang-dong, Dr Alfred Tam, Prof Ray Yep and Prof Ignatius Yu for their valuable advice and contributions to the council.
