The Environmental Protection Department recorded 35 convictions for pollution offences in October.

Fifteen were for air pollution, four for noise and 14 were for waste disposal offences.

The heaviest fine handed down in the month was $40,000 against a company twice for two counts of breaching the Construction Dust Regulation.
