Secretary for the Environment KS Wong Kam-sing will visit the United States to attend the C40 Steering Committee Meeting in New York and to learn more about the country's experience in green building, energy and environment issues.
On Monday, he will attend the C40 Steering Committee Mayoral Meeting and the opening of Climate Week NYC 2014. He will also visit the Skyscraper Museum.
On Tuesday, he will address a luncheon co-organised by the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in New York and the American Institute of Architects, and visit certified green buildings.
He will also stop in Washington, to join a roundtable discussion hosted by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars with environmental and energy experts and think tanks on Wednesday.
On Thursday, he will visit the US Green Building Council.
He will visit Seattle on Friday, to deliver a keynote speech at a luncheon organised by the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in San Francisco.
He will return to Hong Kong next Saturday.
