The fourth series of television documentaries on changing weather, produced by the Hong Kong Observatory and Radio Television Hong Kong, will be broadcast from April 26.
Meteorology Series IV will be presented in four episodes, looking at climate change arising from modern civilisation.
It looks into the underlying causes of the changes in intensity and frequency of extreme weather phenomena such as rainstorms, drought and typhoons brought about by climate change, and the associated impact on mankind.
It examines extreme weather conditions in numerous places, including Hong Kong, providing expert meteorological analysis and inviting the public to reflect on the relationship between civilisation and its impact on Mother Nature.
The series will be simultaneously broadcast every Saturday from 7.30pm to 8.30pm on TVB Jade and RTHK TV31. Live broadcasts and an archive of the programmes will be available on RTHK's website and in the RTHK Screen app.
