Hong Kong’s overall needs and local concerns should be balanced in planning waste-management infrastructure, Secretary for the Environment KS Wong says.
Speaking to the media today, Mr Wong said the Government will continue to seek legislators’ support for the proposal to extend three landfills and build an incinerator.
The Government is also working on measures to reduce nuisances caused by such facilities to local communities, he added.
