The current-term Government is determined to build a people-oriented and action-oriented administration.
Acting Chief Executive Matthew Cheung made the statement to the media before the Executive Council meeting today, noting that he, Chief Executive Carrie Lam and Financial Secretary Paul Chan, are gauging views on the upcoming Policy Address.
Mr Cheung said the Government has been consulting the full spectrum of the community.
He said officials are receiving feedback from legislators, political parties, District Councils and professional groups, adding: "We really want to build bridges and enhance understanding with the community."
In the next week, eight political appointees, including the Financial Secretary and seven other bureau secretaries, will visit various districts in Hong Kong to reach out to grassroots citizens and feel the pulse of the community, he added.
