Dorothy Ma will become District Officer (Southern) tomorrow, succeeding Chow Chor-tim.
Mrs Ma joined the Administrative Service in 1992.
She has served in various bureaus and departments, including the former Planning, Environment & Lands Branch, the former City & New Territories Administration, the former New Airport Projects Co-ordination Office, the former Information Technology & Broadcasting Bureau, the former Constitutional Affairs Bureau, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau, and the University Grants Committee.
Her most recent post has been Principal Assistant Secretary for the Environment (Energy).
