Non-official Members of the Executive Council said they respect Chief Executive CY Leung's decision not to stand in the next Chief Executive election due to family reasons. 

In a statement issued today, ExCo non-official members expressed regret about Mr Leung’s decision but pledged to continue to support him fully in concluding outstanding tasks during his remaining term of office.

They noted he has been dedicated in serving the people and has led the Government and the community in contributing to economic development, improving people's livelihood, and successfully implementing "one country, two systems".
