Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen signed legal exchange and co-operation arrangements between the Department of Justice and the China University of Political Science & Law in Beijing today.
He said the arrangements will build a good platform for both sides to strengthen co-operation on international arbitration, mediation and the Belt & Road Initiative.
"The Department of Justice has all along attached importance to exchanges and co-operation with universities. I am glad we have reached consensus with the China University of Political Science & Law on further enhancing and promoting legal exchanges and co-operation between the Mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region."
Mr Yuen also attended the annual high-level working meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department of Treaty & Law.
He met Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Liu Zhenmin and Director-General of the Department of Treaty & Law Xu Hong.
