​The Government today announced the appointment of Lam Tai-fai as Hong Kong Sports Institute Chairman for two years from next April.

Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah said, with his extensive experience and well-proven credentials in serving on various public bodies, as well as his passion in promoting and supporting sports development, Mr Lam will provide strong leadership for the work and development of the institute.

Mr Lau also thanked the incumbent chairman Carlson Tong for his dedication and contributions in steering and advancing elite sports development.
