Hong Kong and the Mainland are working on the wordings of an agreement on the notification mechanism, Secretary for Security TK Lai told reporters today.
“We have completed two rounds of discussions. We are now examining the wordings of the agreement. The work is still ongoing and of course we all aim at reaching a final version,” he said.
He declined to comment on the Police’s counter-terrorism deployment or allegations that the South Korean consulate in Hong Kong is being attacked by North Korean agents.
“I would not comment on the operations of our Police force, but I can assure everybody that Hong Kong is a very safe city,” he said.
