West Kowloon Cultural District Authority Board Chairman, Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says she will work to reach a consensus with the Government on the authority’s new financial plan.
Speaking to media today Mrs Lam said increasing construction costs, delays, and the deteriorating investment environment after the financial tsunami mean the $21.6 billion allocated for the cultural district's completion and operation costs is now insufficient.
The authority has prepared another financial plan and she hopes it can be approved within this government term.
Mrs Lam also announced the appointment of Suhanya Raffel as the authority’s M+ Executive Director from November 1.
