Chief Executive CY Leung has condemned the attack in Würzburg, Germany, in which a Hong Kong family was injured.
Mr Leung today expressed concern for the four injured Hong Kong residents and extended his sympathies to them and their families.
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' office in Hong Kong, the Chinese embassy in Germany, and the German embassy in Beijing to follow up on the case.
Officers from the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office, Berlin, are visiting the injured Hong Kong people in Würzburg.
Immigration officers will accompany the victim's family members to Würzburg and provide assistance with the Chinese Embassy.
