Ballet star

Ballet star:  Mr Leung meets Lam Chun-wing, the first Chinese ballet dancer admitted to the Paris Opera Ballet.

Chief Executive CY Leung visited CentraleSupelec in the Plateau de Saclay in Paris yesterday, which is a key training and research centre in engineering sciences in the Paris-Saclay technology cluster.

 

CentraleSupelec has established academic and scientific research ties with Hong Kong universities.

 

Mr Leung and Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang listened to a presentation by the centre and visited the SOLEIL synchrotron.

 

Mr Leung said he looks forward to further collaboration between Hong Kong and French education institutions.

 

He joined Hong Kong student delegates to tour CentraleSupelec, and tried his hand at flying a drone.

 

Mr Leung later attended a reception in Paris for Hong Kong people living in France, to learn more about their work and daily life.

 

He spoke with Lam Chun-wing from Hong Kong, the first Chinese ballet dancer admitted to the Paris Opera Ballet.
