Clement Cheung visits the Treasury

Official visit:  Secretary for the Civil Service Clement Cheung (left) meets Treasury staff.

Secretary for the Civil Service Clement Cheung visited the Treasury today to meet its staff and inspect its work.

 

He met with Director of Accounting Services Martin Siu and the directorate staff.

 

He said he was pleased to learn that the Treasury was committed to leading and excelling in the provision of accounting and financial management services to various government bureaus and departments.

 

He then visited the Pensions Division under the Establishment Branch to see pension payment procedures.

 

In the Information Systems Branch, he toured the computer hall which provides 24-hour support services to several service-wide application systems.

 

At the Planning & Development Branch, Mr Cheung was briefed on a knowledge database on government financial management that facilitates experience sharing and knowledge transfer among staff.

 

He later met staff representatives at a tea gathering. He praised them for their efforts and encouraged them to continue providing a full range of accounting and financial support services to the Government.
