The Government will do its best in the construction and management of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link Hong Kong section, Chief Executive CY Leung said.
Mr Leung made the statement before this morning’s Executive Council meeting.
He said the rail has high social and economic benefits, and other countries provide examples of co-location arrangements.
The Government and the MTR Corporation will make announcements concerning the rail’s cost issues at an appropriate time, he added.
