The Justice Department has not yet decided whether to lay charges against Uber staff members and drivers working for the company, Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen said today.
Speaking at the airport after returning from Beijing, Mr Yuen said that as the police investigation is ongoing, the department will consider whether to lay charges after receiving evidence and information.
He reiterated that there should be legal space for Uber to continue to operate in the city, as it can obtain hire-car permits to carry passengers.
