Gov't exams set for Oct

The civil service Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) and Basic Law Test will be held on October 3 and 10. Applications for them will be accepted July 31 to August 13.

 

The Civil Service Bureau said prospective applicants for civil service posts at degree or professional level should have valid CRE results.

 

All people applying for civil service jobs must take the Basic Law Test, and its result will be considered in the applicant's overall assessment for a post.

 

The two tests will also be held on December 5 in Beijing, London, San Francisco, New York, Toronto, Vancouver and Sydney. The application period for these exams is September 19 to October 2.

 

An exercise to recruit Administrative Officers, Executive Officers II, Assistant Trade Officers II, Management Services Officers II and Transport Officers II will also start in September.
