Deputy Director of Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Dr Leung Siu-fai will succeed Alan Wong as Director on July 25, while Assistant Government Chemist Dr Della Sin will succeed Dr Lau Chau-ming as Government Chemist on August 6.
Secretary for the Civil Service Paul Tang said the appointees have proven leadership and administrative skills, profound professional knowledge and extensive operational experience.
He said he is confident they will ably lead their departments to meet the challenges ahead.
Mr Wong will retire after 35 years in the Government, while Dr Lau will retire after 31 years in the Government.
