District development:  Chief Secretary Carrie Lam (first row first right) visits the Energising Kowloon East Office.

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam visited the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department, Kai Tak Cruise Terminal and the Energising Kowloon East Office this afternoon.

 

Mrs Lam visited the EMSD Headquarters in Kowloon Bay, where she was briefed by Director of Electrical & Mechanical Services Chan Fan on the department's services and projects.

 

She inspected its training centre and chatted with trainees.

 

Accompanied by Commissioner for Tourism Cathy Chu, Mrs Lam then proceeded to Kai Tak Cruise Terminal.

 

She encouraged the Tourism Commission to work closely with the Tourism Board and the terminal operator to promote Hong Kong as a regional cruise hub.

 

Mrs Lam also visited the Energising Kowloon East Office, the Fly the Flyover01 project and Kwun Tong Promenade Stage II, which opened last month.
