Secretary for the Civil Service Paul Tang visited the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department today.
He met with Director of Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Alan Wong, who said his department is committed to ensuring a reliable supply of safe and high-quality fresh food and a well-managed and conserved natural environment for the community.
Mr Tang then toured the Hong Kong Herbarium and the Endangered Species Resource Centre.
He also stopped by the department's Import & Export Division to learn about its duties, which include operating a control system for imported animals.
He encouraged the department's staff to continue their high quality, efficient and professional services.
