Chief Executive CY Leung met with Guangzhou Mayor Chen Jianhua today at the Chief Executive's Office.

Mr Leung said that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government would actively work with the Guangzhou Municipal Government to explore new modes of cooperation and maximise development opportunities for Hong Kong people and enterprises in the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone.

He noted that Hong Kong and Guangzhou enjoy close economic and trade relationships and expressed the hope that the two places would continue to strengthen ties on all fronts for their mutual benefit.
