The Government recorded a $12.6 billion surplus in December, mainly due to the collection of profits and salaries taxes, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau said today.
Government expenditure for the nine months ending December 31 amounted to $284.7 billion, with revenues of $319.9 billion. The net surplus for the period amounted to $35.2 billion.
Fiscal reserves stood at $781.2 billion as at December 31.
