Chief Executive CY Leung met Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo Ron Huldai at the Chief Executive's Office today.
Noting that financial and trade relations between Hong Kong and Israel have been growing closer, Mr Leung said the two places will continue to strengthen co-operation and exchanges in technological research and development.
Mr Leung said he looks forward to closer co-operation between Hong Kong and Israel in innovation and technology development.
He also encouraged Israel's technology enterprises to set up business here and to take advantage of Hong Kong's role as a "super-connector" to the Mainland market.
