CE to visit Korea

Chief Executive CY Leung will visit Korea from November 25 to 27 to learn more about its economic situation and the innovation and technology industry.

 

On November 26, Mr Leung will meet Korea's Minister of Foreign Affairs Yun Byung-se, and Minister of Science, ICT & Future Planning Choi Yang-hee. He will also visit a Korean entertainment company which promotes pop music and culture.

 

The following day, Mr Leung is scheduled to meet with Korea Creative Content Agency President Hong Sang-pyo, and tour the Dongdaemun Design Plaza and the Samsung Innovation Museum to learn about developments in Korea's culture and creative industry, and its innovation and technology sector.

 

He will also address a luncheon hosted by the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Tokyo and the Korea International Trade Association where he will meet with local political and economic leaders.

 

Director of the Chief Executive's Office Edward Yau, Director of Information Services Patrick Nip and Private Secretary to the Chief Executive Carlson Chan will accompany him.

 

During his absence, Financial Secretary John Tsang will be Acting Chief Executive from the afternoon of November 25 to the morning of November 26, then Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will be Acting Chief Executive from the afternoon of November 26 to November 27.
