Chief Executive CY Leung met World Bank Group President Dr Jim Yong Kim at Government House today.
Mr Leung said Hong Kong is strategically located in the heart of Asia with easy access, and is a diverse metropolis where East meets West.
He said it also enjoys world-class infrastructure and a rich pool of professional talent, especially in financial services.
He encouraged the World Bank Group to make the best use of Hong Kong's financial platform and services as well as the city's unique role as a super-connector between the Mainland and the world.
