2014 elector registers released

The final elector registers for 2014 were released today, and are available for inspection. 

 

There are a total of 3,507,786 electors for the geographical constituencies, 232,677 electors for the functional constituencies, other than the District Council (second) functional constituency, which has 3,251,274 electors.

 

The final register for the Election Committee subsectors contains 239,089 voters.

 

The records of about 121,000 geographical constituency electors, including about 116,000 District Council (second) functional constituency electors, about 1,800 traditional functional constituency electors and about 1,600 Election Committee subsector voters have been updated in the final registers, the Registration & Electoral Office said.

 

A full set of the final register for geographical constituencies and the District Council (second) functional constituency can be inspected from 9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 6pm from Monday to Friday at the office on 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai.

 

The relevant section of the register pertinent to a particular district is also available for public inspection at the respective District Office during its office hours. 

 

Full copies of the final registers for functional constituencies (other than the District Council (second) functional constituency) and Election Committee subsectors are available for public inspection at the office’s Harbour Centre office and its office on 10/F, Guardian House, 32 Oi Kwan Road in Wan Chai, and the District Offices in Central & Western, Yau Tsim Mong, Kwun Tong, Sha Tin and Tsuen Wan Districts.

 

Registered electors may call the election hotline, 2891 1001, to ask about their own registration particulars.

 

Notices on the final registers’ inspection were gazetted today.
