Chief Executive CY Leung met China National Space Administration Deputy Director Zhang Jianhua at Government House today.
Mr Zhang and his delegation attended the opening ceremony of the Exhibition on China's Lunar Exploration Programme at the Space Museum.
Mr Leung thanked the space administration and supporting organisations for providing the exhibits, and hailed the success of its lunar exploration programme.
He added he was pleased Hong Kong researchers took part in the Chang'e-3 lunar exploration programme, and hopes more local experts can participate in national scientific research.
