Chief Executive CY Leung has met visiting China Food & Drug Administration Minister Zhang Yong at the Chief Executive's Office today.

Mr Leung said Hong Kong and the Mainland have maintained close contact on issues regarding public health and food and pharmaceutical product safety, and maintained an effective and stable co-operation mechanism.

He hoped the two sides would continue to enhance co-operation to refine food and pharmaceutical products' regulatory regime.
