Former Commissioner for Labour Cheuk Wing-hing will succeed Arthur Ho as Department of Justice Director of Administration & Development on May 2, while Deputy Commissioner of Rating & Valuation Tang Ping-kwong will succeed Mimi Brown Tsang as Commissioner on May 5.
Mr Ho and Mrs Brown are retiring.
The Civil Service Bureau said Mr Cheuk is a seasoned Administrative Officer with rich experience in public administration and proven leadership and management skills, and Mr Tang has extensive professional knowledge and experience in rating and valuation work as well as good administrative and leadership skills.
Mr Cheuk joined the Government in 1981 and rose to his present rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade A in 2010. He was Commissioner for Labour from 2010 to last February, and then served as the Chairman of the 2014 Administrative Officer Recruitment Board until last month.
Mr Tang joined the Government in 1983. He was promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Rating & Valuation in 2006 and to Deputy Commissioner in 2012.
