Chief Executive CY Leung met visiting Myanmar Parliament speaker Thura U Shwe Mann at Government House today.
Mr Leung said economic and trade ties between the two places have grown stronger in recent years.
He also said he is glad that Hong Kong and Myanmar concluded negotiations on the Investment Promotion & Protection Agreement last year, which can benefit both sides economically and help to promote bilateral investment and trade.
Mr Leung hopes the two places will continue to maintain co-operation and close contact in trade and other aspects.
