Deputy Secretary for Security Carol Yip will become Director of Social Welfare on July 8, the Civil Service Bureau announced today.
 
Secretary for the Civil Service Paul Tang said Ms Yip is a seasoned Administrative Officer with rich experience in public administration and proven leadership and management skills.
 
“I have every confidence that she will continue to serve the community with professionalism and dedication in her new capacity.”
 
Ms Yip joined the Administrative Service in July 1987 and rose to her present rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade B1 in April 2011.
 
She has been Deputy Secretary for Security since September 2009.
